Saudi Scientific Diabetes Society
History
The Saudi Scientific Diabetes Society is a multidisciplinary scientific society. The idea of the Society started on March 10, 2012 to establish a scientific society under the umbrella of King Abdulaziz University. It became a reality following approval of the Board of Trustees of the Commission on 9/9/2015; through board decision no. 17/A/36, dated 25/11/1436H. It was established to serve spine practice and promote excellence in all disciples in Saudi Arabia and the region caring for the spine.
Vision
To serve as a national resource in the management and education of Diabetes Mellitus through clinical and basic research.
Mission
To prevent diabetes and its complications through health promotion, patient education, professional training, treatment and research.
Goals
To provide ongoing state-of-the-art preventive care through innovative activities which will enable us to detect and intervene in the progression of this devastating disease.
